The Signalling Company wins the ERCI Innovation Award!

Our iEVC universal signalling platform received the European Railway Clusters Initiative (ERCI) Innovation Award at InnoTrans 2026, recognising its exceptional quality and innovative strength. This marks our second award this year. Once again, we could not be prouder!

A great recognition from Europe’s rail clusters

On 23 September 2026, ERCI held its Innovation Awards ceremony at the Rail.S stand at InnoTrans in Berlin. A European jury of 10 members assessed 29 nominations from 8 countries. It gave its Coup de Cœur Award to The Signalling Company for exceptional quality and innovative strength.

We would like to thank ERCI and the jury for this recognition, and Logistics in Wallonia for nominating us. Standing out among so many strong innovations from across Europe is a proud moment for the whole team.

A prize for our universal signalling platform

The award recognises iEVC, our software-defined universal signalling platform. Powered by RailOS®, it hosts ETCS and national Class B ATP applications, such as PZB, on one compact onboard computer. For cross-border fleets, that means the lowest total cost of ownership on the market, with an onboard architecture that is lighter, smaller, modular and more energy-efficient.

iEVC also speeds up installation, commissioning and maintenance, and it can be upgraded remotely. It scales across safety and non-safety applications, on new vehicles and retrofits alike. This supports EU interoperability, modal shift and a more integrated European rail network.

Jarlath Lally, Head of Sales, Marketing and Product Management, came on stage to accept the award, accompanied by Zdeněk Švata, Board member of TSC and COO of Škoda Group. He said:

“We are honoured to receive this Coup de Cœur Award and extend our thanks to both ERCI and the judging panel for recognising the impact our innovation is having in the industry. At TSC we are inspired by making rail travel and transport safer and more efficient. We’re inspired by three words: speed, scalability and simplicity. These are the keys to accelerating ETCS adoption and deployment, and they will keep driving our innovation. Lastly, I’d like to dedicate this award to our incredible team, and especially to Erik Kudela, our cherished colleague who sadly passed away this year.”

A second award in 2026

This is our second innovation award this year. In March, our 100% software-defined ETCS won the RailTech Europe Innovation Award at Railtech ’26. Two industry awards in six months make 2026 a milestone year for The Signalling Company, and a clear sign that the sector is ready for a new way of deploying ERTMS.
